Gateway Dental

Dr. Maher, born and raised in Staten Island, received his undergraduate degree from Wagner College where he majored in Biology and was a two-time recipient of the Megerle Scholar Award.

He then went on to attend the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.

After BU, Dr. Maher completed a general residency program at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey. His residency furthered his experience in restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and implantology. Dr. Maher has also taken part in community outreach, including traveling to Poptún, Guatemala where he provided dental care and education to the underserved. 

Dr. Maher is excited to finally be back in Staten Island and looks forward to providing exceptional care in his hometown. 

K. Passaro was born and raised in Staten Island, NY. She was awarded her Bachelor’s of Arts degree from New York University College of Arts and Sciences and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from NYU College of Dentistry.

Upon completing her degree, she returned to her hometown for a one year general practice residency at Staten Island University Hospital. 

K. Passaro actively continues to expand her clinical knowledge through conference and study club attendance. She has completed a residency program focused on implant placement and restoration. 

K. Passaro strives to ensure each patient feels welcome and comfortable in the practice. She aims to exceed expectations and deliver high quality dental care. 

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, doing yoga, and spending as much time as possible outdoors.
